Fresh from AgeTech LA's meetup: meet these innovative #AgeTech products that make life easier for older adults and their Caregivers!

Embodied Labs – Empathy Through Virtual Reality: Embodied Labs builds empathy to improve care through "Actionable Empathy." VR goggles place users in the shoes of older adults, simulating conditions like macular degeneration, hearing loss, and early dementia. Caregivers can practice responding to real-life challenges, make mistakes safely, and build decision-making skills. This experiential learning improves care quality while reinforcing dignity and respect - critical for overcoming knee-jerk ageist reactions.
The goal of the empathy experience reminded me of MIT AgeLab's Age Gain Now Empathy System, but Embodied Labs is more versatile - and looks much comfier Embodied Labs also offers video-based experiences without VR goggles.
